Doris (Sis) Germaine (Marineau) Van Domelen, 91, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019.
Born Dec. 19, 1927 in Marinette, to the late Leo and Lucille (McGuire) Marineau, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1946 and married the late William Van Domelen, Jr. in Newberry, Mi.
Devoted to her family, she poured love to those around her and left good memories that will be held close to her families hearts forever.
A member of Resurrection Parish for many years, she was a stay-at-home mom for seven children, was a bookkeeper for many years for VG&R Furniture and in later years, worked as a caregiver for many area families.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Van Domelen of Laguna Hills, Ca. and Lori Van Domelen of Oshkosh; four sons, Steve (Mary) Van Domelen of Tigard, Or. and Bill (Mary) Van Domelen, David (Whitey) Van Domelen and Tom Van Domelen, all of of Menominee, Mi. a daughter-in-law, Tammy Van Domelen of Stephenson, Mi.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, William, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Van Domelen of Menominee and three brothers, Robert Marineau, Richard Marineau and James Marineau.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Resurrection Catholic Church in Menominee on Tuesday, July 16 at 11 a.m., with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding. Burial followed at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. A Celebration of Life with a social gathering and dinner for friends and family was held at Little River Country Club on Tuesday, July 16 beginning at 5 p.m.
