Vincent Bahl, 94, of McAllister, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Rennes Health Care Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born June 25, 1925, to Victor and Katherine (Phillip) Bahl, he grew up and worked on the family farm before entering service. He served in the United States Army, was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW and formerly the 20-Year Club. He worked in Green Bay where he managed a grocery store and after returning to the area, he worked at the former Kargard Industries, retiring as a welding inspector. In retirement, he operated a welding shop and was known for his quality work.
In 1981, he married the former Elizabeth "Betty" (Wyngard) Rastall and they lived in the Town of Wagner for many years. He enjoyed fishing, building things in his garage and remodeled his entire home.
He is survived by a son, Kevin (Kim) Bahl of Marinette; three step-children, Bruce Rastall (Diane Vinton), Gail (Skip) Nunn and Todd (Meredith) Rastall; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Teri) Bahl and two sisters, Mary Ann Otradavec and Theresa Jensen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and a brother, Clifford.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Wednesday, July 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 18 at Community Lutheran Church in McAllister from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Rev. Richard Hueter will officiate with burial in the Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
