Exxon Again To Supply Wausaukee School Fuel
Issue Date: July 25, 2019
Again for the 2019-2020 school year, gas and diesel fuel for Wausaukee School District will be purchased from Exxon Quik Stop, which is located at the junction of Hwy. 141 and 180 in Wausaukee.
Jim Samstor, previous owner, said he has always given the school a good price, and this station has been the provider of fuels for the school district every year for the past 30 years.
"I gave the school a really good price on it," said manager Jitender Behl of this year's agreement. Purchase price approved by the school board on July 10 is 6 cents below pump price for unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel plus an additional 6 cents discount if the Exon fleet card is used, bringing the total to 12 cents below pump price. There were no other bidders.
A news article on the July 10 School Board meeting that was printed in the July 17 edition of the Peshtigo Times incorrectly stated the gasoline and diesel fuel bid for the coming school year had been awarded to Krist Oil, which did not submit a bid.
The Exxon Quik Stop has been notified that the first day of school for students at Wausaukee is Tuesday, Sept. 3.
