Thomas E. Audit, 65, of Alachua, Fla., passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 in Alachua, Fla.
Born April 29, 1954 in Menominee, Mi., to Joseph and Ernestine (Spoerke) Audit, he was raised in Marinette and graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1972. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech University with highest honors and a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UW-Madison.
He worked as a Professional Engineer for General Electric for several years and later for himself as an entrepreneur in North Florida. He was involved in Phi Kappa Tau fraternity's local chapter Mu Kappa Mu, making lifelong friends in college through the fraternity. He enjoyed watching Wisconsin Badgers, Florida Gators and Green Bay Packers football games.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Audit and son, Eric Audit, both of Alachua, Fla.; two sisters Janice (Jeffery) Anderson of Marinette and Judith Audit of New Berlin; a brother Michael (Kristen) Audit of Oshkosh; seven nephews, Keith and Kevin Audit, Pace, Clay, and Joshua Emerson and Clint and Charles Deloach; two nieces Sarah and Alison Deloach and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph William Anderson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Living Covenant Church, 15202 NW 147 Drive #1400, Alachua, Fla. 32615 on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Troy Rumore officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association http://www.diabetes.org/donate/ Evans Carter Funeral Home of High Springs, Fla. is assisting the family with arrangements.
