Robyn Lynn (Strutz) LaValley, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, July 19, 2019.
She was born December 20, 1953 in Menominee, MI to Ralph and Beverly Strutz. She graduated from Catholic Central High School. She married Charles R. LaValley of Peshtigo, WI and resided there for much of her adult life.Together they owned LaValley's Tavern and Robyn went on to become a manager at the adjacent Peshtigo Pharmacy. She later led the Oconto branch of the Pharmacy for over 20 years.
She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church and was very involved in her community. She acted as President of the Peshtigo Women's Club, led her daughter's girl scout troupe and volunteered for charities over the years. A very creative person who enjoyed making arts and crafts with her hands, she loved spending time with her four grandchildren above all else.
Robyn will be remembered for her boisterous laugh and prevailing sense of humor. She was a source of strength and support by all who knew her. She touched many lives with her generosity and will be deeply missed.
Robyn was preceded in death by her father and mother and her husband, Charles. She is survived by her three children, Amy LaValley, 39, of Minneapolis and her husband Jeremy Slick and their daughters Emery 7 and Marigold, 2; her twin sons, Matthew 35 and his wife Crystal of Marquette, MI and Michael, 35 and his children Jackson 9, and Scarlett, age 6, of Menominee, MI; her brother, Mike and sisters,Tracy & Patty; her best friend, Marlene Michalski of Peshtigo, with whom she was virtually inseparable for more than 30 years.
Memorial Service was held at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo last week.
