Six Performances of "Sister Act" at Oconto Falls

Phoenix Players' production, Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy, will open on Friday, Aug. 9 at 7 pm at the Falls Area PAC, Oconto Falls High School), with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner. The musical, which is sponsored in part by N.E.W. Credit Union, is being directed by Brandon Byng.
When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found, a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, she breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
Sister Act will open on Aug. 9 at 7 pm with subsequent performances on Aug. 10, 16 and 17 at 7 pm and Aug. 11 and 18 at 1 pm. The show will be held at the Falls Area PAC. Tickets are $12 for adults (ages 13-64), $10 for Seniors (age 65 and over) and $7 for Children (age 12 and under). There is a $2 fee per ticket if purchased at the door. There are no fees to purchase tickets in advance online at www.PhoenixPlayersWi.com and tickets are also be available in advance at any N.E.W. Credit Union offices.
