Richard A. Fredrick, 81, of De Pere, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 26, 2019 at home with family by his side.
Born March 10, 1938 in Wisconsin, to Maurice and Alice (Schallenberger) Fredrick, he married Mary Banks on April 8, 1957 in Orlando, Fla. and they raised three children together.
He spent most of his career at Badger Sheet Metal Works in Green Bay as a supervisor and most recently at Velocity Machine in De Pere.
He enjoyed shooting clays, time outdoors and tending to his yard and gardens. A longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oneida, he served as an usher and on the board of elders.
He is survived by three children, Gail (Mark) Peterson of Oconto and Kevin (Sherri) Fredrick and Rebecca (Quince) Porter, both of De Pere; four grandchildren; siblings and other extended family members.
Among his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly three decades, Mary; siblings and other extended family members.
Services will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere on Friday, Aug. 30 from 2 p.m. until time of a short Prayer Service at 5 p.m., with Pastor Vernon Heim officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery at a later date in Oneida. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Oneida.
