Clarence W. Spencer, 76, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019 at his home.
Born July 10, 1943 in Chippewa Falls, to the late Byron and Linda (Scheel) Spencer, he graduated from Phillips High School in 1961. He then served in the United States National Guard from 1961 until being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1975. In 1961, he married Geneva Walmer and she preceded him in death on July 17, 1991. On Oct. 26, 1992, he then married the former Carol Thompson and she preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2003.
He drove semi truck for Veriha Trucking for many years and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Menominee Elks Club and American Legion Post 43.
He is survived by a step-son, Mark (Barb) Walmer; five step-daughters, Kay Bokroney, Sheila Walmer, Brenda (Walt) Amundson, Theresa Walmer and Pat Walmer and many friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by both wives, Geneva and Carol and a son, Jeff.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 5 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Mark Laatsch officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with Military Honors conducted by the Military 20 Year Club. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
