Amber (Behnke-Goldsmith) Newbury, 60, of Peshtigo, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019.
Born Nov. 17, 1958, to Germaine "Sherri" Behnke and the late Dennis Behnke, she worked for many years at the Town House Cafe and LaValley's Tavern.
An avid hunter and fisherman, she enjoyed her daily coffee clutch at The Peshtigo Cafe, working with her sister Jill and their after work stops at the Outback for her root beer. Above all she loved her boys and grandchildren. Due to the generosity of the Lesperance Family Foundation, she was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of visiting the ocean, prior to her death.
She is survived by, two sons, Jestin (Kate) Goldsmith and Drew (Katie) Behnke; her mother, Germaine "Sherri" Behnke; special friend, Harry Bayer; six grandchildren; two sisters, Jill (Thomas) Bedwell and Sharon (Scott) Polzin; two brothers, James Behnke and Jack (Luann) Behnke and a brother-in-law, Charles Risner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis; a sister, Denise Risner and her grandparents, John O. Behnke Sr. and Doris (Harmes) Behnke.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Outback, W1997 Old Peshtigo Road, Marinette on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
