Dale F. Peterson, Sr., 68, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday evening at his home.
Born Nov. 27, 1950 in Menominee, Mi., to Albert and Fannie Peterson, he was a lifelong resident of Marinette. He graduated from Marinette High School in 1970 and married the former Linda Swanson on Oct. 15, 1970. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of overseas service in the Vietnam War. He returned to Marinette and worked for Keller Cement Contractors, Carpenter Cook in Menominee, the Aerial Co. and Waupaca Foundry.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling on his motorcycle, making trips to Cancun, Jamaica and California and camping with family, but especially loved time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; four children, Krisy (Richard) Oestreich, Jacky (Kevin) Kessel, Lyn Luevanos and Dale Peterson, Jr.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Peterson and three sisters, Marlene Taff, Rosie Barlow and his twin, Dawn Kroll.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry and a sister, Dorothy.
Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 2 p.m. until time of a service at 4 p.m., with Rev. Linda Forray officiating.
