Bonnie Kaye Korpi
Issue Date: September 12, 2019
Bonnie Kaye (Bookow) Korpi of Coleman passed away with her family at her side on September 8, 2019.
Born to Stanley and Adeline (Risner) Bookow in 1945, Bonnie graduated from Coleman High School. In 1963, she married Wayne Korpi. Together they raised three children and built a beautiful home where many memories were created and Holidays were celebrated.
While Bonnie worked in dental offices, banks and insurance agencies, her true vocation was as a wife, mother and homemaker. She treasured times spent with family and friends.
Bonnie was a member of Beaver American Lutheran Church. In past years, she enjoyed being part of a card club and a homemakers' club, where she met many longtime friends. She was a practical woman who also enjoyed a good party, and was known for sharing the wisdom she gained from her parents with her friends as well as her family.
Bonnie will be dearly missed by her husband, Wayne; children, Amy Korpi (Mike Istwan) of De Pere, Jill (Keith) Long of Pound and Brad (Gail) Korpi of Coleman and grandchildren, Kelsi, Andrew, Kollin, Lindsay, Kim and Jamie.
Thank you to all who showed their love for Bonnie. Your affection, calls, cards, visits and gifts of food and flowers were a great comfort to her. The family would also like to extend gratitude to Dr. Dhimant Patel and the nurses of Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
There will be a private interment service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Coleman.
I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free, For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
