Barry Schubring, 61, of Menominee, Mi., passed away suddenly at home on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019.
Born May 29, 1958 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to the late Robert and Mable (Lipscomb) Schubring, he graduated from Gladstone High School in 1977 and Michigan Tech University in 1982 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked at Trident Maritime in Marinette as a 3D Computer Graphics Modeler. On June 17, 2006, he married Joan Sadowski in Menominee, Mi.
An avid bicyclist, he enjoyed restoring vintage and rat rod bicycles. He and his wife met through match.com and enjoyed many fun filled vacations and adventures, especially to Mackinac Island where they brought their vintage bikes. He loved time with family and being with his dogs and cats. A talented artist, he was known for his dry, witty sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; a brother, Dave (Joyce) Schubring of Porterfield; his mother-in-law, Claire Sadowski of Menominee; brothers-in-law, Alan (Tammy) Sadowski, Sr. and Gary (Judy) Sadowski, both of Menominee and Edwin (Robin) Sadowski of Marinette and many nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation was held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5 p.m., with Deacon Vince Beckley officiating.
