Helen G. (Kopischke) Ewald, 95, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, with her sons nearby.
Born Nov. 1, 1923 in Marinette, to the late Louis and Ottilia (Zinther) Kopischke, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1941 and then attended Marinette Vocational School for one year. She married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Ewald in September 1944 and worked as a secretary.
The couple enjoyed their retirement in Hot Springs Village, Ak. and loved dancing and golfing together until his passing in 1989.
She was then married to William Dufrane from 1992 to 2012. She adored her family and took pride in their accomplishments. Her hobbies were playing bridge, needlework, sewing and was active in her Church, where she loved playing piano and electronic organ.
She is survived by three sons, William (Carol) of Green Bay, David (Sue) Overland Park, Ks. And Joel (Leslie), Lenexa, Ks.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Pearl Victor.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; two brothers and four sisters.
A private Memorial Service for immediate family will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Green Bay is assisting the family.
