Shirley Ann (Poquette) Dombrowski, 83, of Daggett, Mi., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born Aug. 1, 1936 in Hermansville, Mi. to the late Arthur and Dora (Sicore) Poquette, she married Richard Dombrowski on Aug. 31, 1957 in Hermansville. She worked for the Norway Sewing Factory and Pinecrest until her children were born.
She enjoyed camping, casino trips and time in the "Over the Hill" band, singing and playing guitar at area nursing homes such as Roubals and Pinecrest. A member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, she enjoyed singing in the Choir.
Survivors include her husband, Richard of Daggett, Mi.; three children, Scott (Todd Brigman) Dombrowski of Gladstone, Mi., Cindy (John) Seymour of Carney, Mi. and Peter (Annell) Dombrowski of Manitowoc; four grandchildren; a niece, Julie (Gary) Raatz; a nephew, Steve (Corrie) Poquette and many nieces and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Lloyd Poquette and a niece, Wendy Poquette.
Visitation was held at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Jacek Wytklo officiating, followed by burial in Nadeau Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial was established and expressions of kindness can be directed to Richard Dombrowski.
