Donald "Cowboy" A. Dreyer, Sr., 81, of Grover passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2019.
Born Aug. 23, 1938, to the late Lester and Jane (Burgert) Dryer, he served in the United States Marines and was stationed in the Philippines and Germany. In 1960 he married the former Linda Zornes in Shirley, Ind. and she preceded him in death Sept. 24, 2018.
Known to many as "Cowboy", he worked at K.S.U. for 36 years, retiring in 2000 and enjoyed working on his hobby farm and woodworking.
He is survived by two sons, Donald (Deb) Dreyer, Jr. and David (Barbra) Dreyer; a daughter, Lori (John Sharkey) Dreyer; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph (Carol) Dreyer and Phil (Nancy) Dreyer.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 17 at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo from 2 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. with Pastor Linda Forray officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 am at Harmony Cemetery.
