Isaac A. "Jonzey" Jones, 26, of Menominee, Mi., died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 due to medical complications while on the road truck driving in Bakersfield, Ca.
Born March 1, 1993 in Marinette, to Naomi Jones and Bill Lynch, he graduated from Menominee High School in 2012, where he was a wrestling state quarter finalist and football state semifinalist, known as Jonzey #74. He wrestled for Menominee Wrestling for 12 years and assisted coaching the youth in the area. He played French horn in the band and sang in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Choir. He served six years in 12N Michigan National Guard and was employed by McDermid Trucking in Oconto Falls.
He was a devoted companion to his Pitbull, Vader and enjoyed cruising the countryside on his Honda Shadow, attending motorcycle races, shooting pool, camping, hunting and fishing with his friends and family. An avid reader, he was a spiritual man, confirmed from Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee and will be missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Naomi (Schultz) and Jeremy Jones, his father, Bill Lynch; three siblings, Greyson Jones and Christina and Brandon Lynch; his grandmothers, Barbara Schultz, Sue Jones, Leann Schultz and Sue Lynch; his grandfather, Michael Lynch; five aunts, Danielle (Scott Hannan) Bell, Rebecca (Mitch) Schultz, Deborah Arbogast, Debbie (Rob) Swenty and Chrissy Lynch; two uncles, David Schultz and Mitchell (Chelsie) Schultz and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Allen (Butch) Schultz and Richard Jones and an uncle, Michael Lynch Jr.
Visitation with the urn present will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2901 13th St, Menominee on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Mark Laatsch officiating. A memorial fund will be established for the local Wounded Warrior Program.
