Theresa Victoria Broberg, 87, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, shortly before her 88th birthday at Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community in Muskego.
Born Nov. 20, 1931, to Walter and Katherine Lusnia, she married Rueben Carl Broberg, Jr., of Stephenson, Mi. on April 24, 1954 when he returned from the Korean War. They moved to Milwaukee where they raised their children and later retired on the Lusnia Farm in 1987. In retirement, she cared for her husband and parents until their deaths and she enjoyed serving her community.
Active in the Church of Precious Blood as a catechist, organist, and eucharistic minister, if she wasn't at church she was at the counter at the bakery or at the Community Action Senior Center in Daggett where she helped plan many special occasions offered to all her senior friends.
She is survived by four children, David (Marianne) Broberg, Germantown, Marilyn (Brian) Buck and JoAnn (Andrew) Dziennik, both of Muskego and Jerry (Debi Lyman) Broberg of Milwaukee; a daughter-in-law, Denise; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces; nephews and other relatives.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben; a sister, Carol (Harold) Pratt and a dear friend, Walter "Tim" Lahay.
Visitation will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson, Mi. on Friday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Fr. Don Loskot will preside followed by burial in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
