Janet A. Yacovelli, 59, of Tipler, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born Feb. 10, 1960 in Chicago, Ill., to Henry and Theresa (Gomez) Nagel, she grew up in Chicago and lived in many suburbs of Chicago. She lived in Log Port, N.J. and Berwyn, Ill., for a few years before moving to Goodman in 1996. She and her longtime companion, George Marciulionis, owned and operated Tipler Bar and Grill from 2006 until they retired in 2019.
In earlier years, she was active in the Girl Scouts and enjoyed dancing, camping, playing cribbage, shooting pool, but mostly time with family and friends.
She is survived by a son, Donald (Stephanie) Lenehan, Long Lake; her mother, Theresa Nagel, Park Falls; two brothers, Kenneth (Ellen) Nagel, Berwyn, Ill. and Vance (Lisa) Nagel, Lutz, Fla.; a sister, Nancy (Jeffrey) Chiappetta, Park Falls; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her father, Henry preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 30 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek from 9 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Timothy Brandt will officiate with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Ill. Jacobs Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Iron Mountain, Mi. is assisting the family.
