Carol M. (Felch) Voigt, 89, of Menominee, MI., passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at home with family by her side.
Born Jan. 29, 1930 in Marinette, to the late John and Gertrude (Schainstine) Felch, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1949. On Oct. 14, 1950, she married Paul Voigt and he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1991. She worked at MSU Extension Agency as a Family Living Program Assistant for 15 years and Roubal Nursing Home as a CNA for 10 years.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Luther Church in Menominee and previously Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett, Mi. and Saint Mark's Lutheran Church in Wallace, Mi. She was a Sunday School Teacher for 60 years, Sunday School Superintendent for 10 years, Choir Director for 40 years and a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the Daggett Township Trustee for 10 years. She enjoyed time with her family and sharing her faith with all she knew.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (George) Bussler of Stephenson, Mi. and Sue (Richard) Blake of Menominee; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; a son, Michael Voigt; four brothers, Merrill, Cletus, Allen and Wayne Felch; a brother-in-law, Fritz Voigt and two sisters-in-law, Norma Tagge and Dorothy Desjarlais-Bogdan.
Visitation was held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 4 p.m., until time of a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Cole officiating. A funeral service was held Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menominee at 11 a.m., with Pastor Paul Cole officiating. Burial will be in Spring in the Stephenson Township Cemetery. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family.
