Randy Tharp, 63, of Menominee, MI., passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 after suffering many years with multiple heath issues.
Born Sept. 18, 1956, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1975 and worked and lived in Menominee until his death.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee. Many knew him from his hair salon, "Hair I Am", where he made his clients beautiful while sharing entertaining stories from his life. He had a good sense of humor which he shared with clients and friends.
After unable to work, no matter how much discomfort he suffered, he never complained and always greeted those he saw with a smile and a "how ya doing?" From a small child on, he made friends everywhere he went, remembered them forever and seemed to know everyone in town.
He is survived by his mother, LaVonne Tharp; a brother, Alan; a step-daughter, Sarah; two step-grandsons; a niece, Lynn (Donny) Johnson; great-nephews, Brendon and Donovan Johnson; great-nieces, Carlee and Abby Johnson and Abby's sons, Kingston and Kaiser; an uncle, Bob (Lois) Anderson and many cousins and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Ed Tharp; a brother, Dale Tharp; a sister-in-law, Kathy Tharp and an aunt, Elaine Burke.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Saturday, Feb. 1 from noon until time of services at 2 p.m.
