Issue Date: January 30, 2020
William "Willy" Allen Engebregtsen, 58, of Oconto Falls, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer.
Born March 30, 1961, to the late Donald and Shirley Engebregtsen, he was raised in Milwaukee before moving to the Oconto Falls area where he and his wife, Christine, established a small trucking company and raised their family. He had enjoyed trucking and loved being on the road.
With a passion for older cars, this started a brotherhood with close friends and was a regular at local and surrounding area car shows, where he and his friends shared company and showed off their prized possessions.
Besides his family and friends, his pride and joy was his 1933 Ford Vicky. After car shows, he could be found with a hot fudge sundae. He had a heart of gold and lent a hand to anyone in need.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; two sons, Don (Jessica) and Vince (Tiffany); four grandchildren; a brother, Mike; other distant relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley and his father, Don.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2020. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Oconto is assisting the family.
