Gwendolyn Joann (Votava) Hancock, 80, of Peshtigo, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 at Rennes Health Care Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born Sept.18, 1939 in Peshtigo, to the late Ernest and Adeline (Koppline) Votava, she married Roger Hancock on Jan. 18, 1959 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1984. She retired from Unlimited Services in 2007 after 20 years.
An avid sport enthusiast, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing and coaching softball. She loved watching all sports, Brewers, Badgers, especially the Green Bay Packers and attended the Ice Bowl in 1967.
She is survived by a son, Scott (KC Lascelle) Hancock; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dennis, Ernest (Linda) and Ron (Sue); a sister, Judy (Tim) Derringer; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Kathy DeGaynor.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Joseph and Timothy and three sisters, Sandra, Nola and Kathy.
The family received relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at noon, with Rev. Daniel Sargent officiating.
