Peshtigo Bowlers Compete at State

The Peshtigo Girls bowling team traveled to Weston Wisconsin Sunday to take part in this years state bowling tournament. This marks the second straight year the Bulldog girls have made it to the big show.
Last season they finished with a seventh place tournament ending. this year they improved that mark hitting the fourth place spot.
Peshtigo entered the tourney with a fourth seed and had to fight their way up.
There were 16 team in this years tourney in division two. After finishing the tournament in fourth place the Bulldogs had scored a 175.13 average and a scratch of 2,627.
Antigo took the first place spot while West bend East posted to the second place spot. Beaver dam got third pace while Manama finished behind Peshtigo in fifth.
Peshtigo Sophomore Travis Lund was the only Bulldog to make it to individual competition on friday where he rolled a 527 over a three game set to finish 71 out of 100 bowlers. Since he did not finish in the top 25 percent he did not make the semifinals.
