William Michael Paitl, 66, of Menominee, Mi., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born Sept. 29, 1953 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Dolores (Entringer) Paitl and the late George W. Paitl, he graduated from Menominee High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked at Giddings and Lewis Foundry in Menominee before retiring to own a Health Food Store.
Besides his family, he loved tree forts, trains, his album collection, his 1971 Plymouth Road Runner and his Jeep Wrangler for "mudding" with his brother, Steve. A gentle soul, he will be missed and forever loved by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Lori; five step-children, Robert, Jennifer, Holly, Matthew and Kyle; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Kathy (Chris) O'Neal, Mary Kay (Tom) Bruce, Liz (Danny) Wakeman and Julie (Randy) Niemojuski; his only brother, Steve Paitl and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia and a step-son, Jeffrey.
A Memorial Service will be held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, March 14 at noon with Fr. Brian Gerber officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Menominee Township Hall in Birch Creek, N2283 O-1 Drive, Menominee, beginning at 4 p.m.
