Carol A. (Strelka) Jarosz, 82, of Middle Inlet, formerly of Racine passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 surrounded by family.
Born March 18, 1938 in Racine, to the late Edward and Martina (Pfeiffer) Strelka, she graduated from St. Catherine's High School as Valedictorian and then obtained several Human Resource Certificates. She worked in many Administrative/Human Resource positions at Children's House, Flynn Detective Agency, The Telephone Company and Lincoln Lutheran Home. She married Leonard (Len) Jarosz, on Oct.18, 1958 at Holy Name Catholic Church.
She served as President of the Catholic Junior League for the local and state chapters, was the first female Parish Council President in the Milwaukee Catholic Diocese and was a Parish Council member at Holy Name and St. Patrick's Churches.
Carol was involved in the Depression Era Glass Society of Wisconsin. In retirement, they ran an antique business. She also belonged to St. Agnes Parish in Amberg, was a founding volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Society, sang in the Church Choir, was active in the Parish Council and helped with after-service breakfasts. She enjoyed traveling, boating, antiquing and entertaining and chatting with friends and family.
Survivors include a brother,Thomas (Diane) Strelka; two daughters, Michele (Thomas) Battle and Kathleen (Scot) Krause; a son, Robert (Kris); seven grandchildren and many nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Len and a sister, Mary Strelka Kortendick.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. Donations can be made in her name to St. Catherine's High School of Racine or Amberg St.Vincent DePaul Society. Konrad Behlman Funeral Home of Oshkosh is assisting the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.konrad-behlman.com
