James Lee Gould, 84, of Marinette, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
Born March 10, 1936 in Menominee, Mi., to Russell and Glendora Gould, he graduated from Peshtigo High School and then served in the United States Marines before attending UW-LaCrosse. He married the former Marilyn Larson of Marinette on June 8, 1957.
He worked in construction before a career with Badger Paper Mills in Peshtigo. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling but mostly time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of almost 63 years, Marilyn; three children, Karen (Steve), Kathy (Scott) and Jenny (Jeff); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Russ; two sisters, Bonnie and Lynn; two sisters-in-law, Judy Wendel and Marge Williams and many nieces and nephews.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jacqueline; a brother, Ken and a sister, Lois.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. Memorials in his name can be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Marinette. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
