George H. (Bud) Beaudoin, 95, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.
Born Sept. 28, 1924 in Stephenson, Mi., to George W. and Lillian (Kronsnoble) Beaudoin, he graduated from Stephenson High School in 1942 and attended Middlebury College in Vermont and Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He married Marilyn (Toots) Beaudoin on May 8, 1954 in Chicago and she preceded him in death on Nov. 19, 2014. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II and was honorably discharged on March 4, 1946.
They owned and operated Beaudoin Distributing Company from 1956 until retirement in 1988. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting, especially at his camp (the French Retreat).
He treasured time with family, especially his grandchildren. A member of the American Legion Post 43 in Stephenson, he also belonged to Precious Blood Catholic Church.
He is survived by four children, Jeff (Barb) Beaudoin, Phoenix, Az., Sally (Denny) Beaudoin and Tim (Sherri) Beaudoin, both of Stephenson and Jill (Joe) Beaudoin Lannan of Olympia, Wa.; five grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Beaudoin and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn (Toots) Beaudoin; a granddaughter, Nicole (Nikki) Brittany Beaudoin and a sister, Dorothy Phillippo.
Due to the coronavirus, no formal funeral will be held at this time. A private family gathering will be held at a future date.
