Kathryn Ann (Olsen) Richardson, 64, of Menominee, Mi., passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 12 in Chicago, Ill.
Born March 25, 1956 in Menominee, she attended Menominee High School and graduated from Southern Illinois University. She worked at Allstate Insurance for over 20 years before discovering her passion of teaching children Math and Reading at her very own Kumon Supplementary School.
Through her life, she was a creator, loved woodworking and crafts, made magic from ordinary food, made a school from brick and mortar and could create a hilarious story out of a funny one with her laughter.
She is survived by her partner, John Pienkowski; the four kids she raised, Calvin, Drew, and Lindsey Sulski and Joe Richardson; a brother, Kent Olsen; a sister, Kim Janson and hundreds of students she impacted through her Children's Education Enrichment.
Along with her parents, Kenny and Theresa Olsen, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kurt Olsen.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home, 549 10th Ave., Menominee, Mi. 49858 on Friday, June 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
