The Friends of Suring Area Public Library extend heartfelt thanks to the residents of the Town of How community for permitting the Friends of Suring Library to use the How Garage for their annual rummage sales. The Friends also extend many, many thanks to all the great shoppers,, the many volunteer Friends and extra workers, the wonderful donors, and tireless helpers with set up, sales, and cleanup during the sales at the How Garage. The Friends also are very appreciative and thankful to Thrivent Financial for supplies used at the Rummage Sales. Thank you also to the Towns of Breed and Maple Valley for their support.
Funds from these rummage sales are used for needed programs, equipment, and services at the Library, that are not covered under the Library's budget. This year and in the past year, the Friends of the Suring Area Public Library have used funds toward the purchase of: special child-seating, a movie license for monthly showings, after school snacks, supplies for the summer Library program, and several new computers for patron usage. The Friends of the Suring Area Public Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, that is engaged primarily in fundraising for the support of this Library.
Thank you again for your patronage and support of the Suring Area Public Library, now beginning its 34th years.

I was surprised to see that Andi Rich claims to be a Republican and is running for the State Assembly on the Republican ticket. I am a lifelong Republican and I welcome anyone to the Republican Party, but misleading voters crosses a line I believe every voter should be made aware of.
A year ago, Andi shared with enthusiasm how she was attending the Democratic Party's state convention. During the Democratic Presidential primary election, she talked endlessly about her whole-hearted support of socialist Bernie Sanders.
Andi also supports Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and her New Green Deal. A recent study found that the New Green Deal would cost Wisconsin families $70,000 the first year and $40,000 annually in increased energy costs. The Wisconsin Dairy Alliance said the New Green Deal would likely kill the dairy industry in Wisconsin.
Andi has also voiced her support for government run universal healthcare and, when COVID-19 hit Wisconsin, supported calls for letting businesses go bankrupt.
When President Trump visited Marinette last week to announce that Marinette Marine will build frigates for the US Navy, she criticized the contract and bragged about her opposition to President Trump. Andi has outright accused Marinette Marine and John Nygren of "building warships so you (they) can turn starving Somali kids into skeletons for oil."
I believe we should all be good stewards of our environment. I was active in the fight against the mine until their Facebook group "Save The Menominee River - StopThe Mine", drove most of their Republican supporters out. I was criticized the other night by a person in this group for the mere mention of God. Andi is a driving force in this group. Her articles in the newspaper are a testament to her political affiliation, and it isn't Republican.
Clearly Andi is trying to mislead voters. I hope you join me in supporting a real Republican: John Nygren.
