Christopher L. Schoon, 55, of Amberg, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at St. Vincents Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Sept. 5, 1964 in Hinsdale, Ill., to Leroy and Sandra Schoon, he grew up in W/heeling, Ill., where he graduated from Wheeling, High School. He served in the United States Army for six years and worked as a painter and tow truck operator. He married the former Linda Deau on May 26, 1995 and they lived in Palatine and Hoffman Estates, Ill., until moving to Amberg to be near his wife's parents.
His passion was riding motorcycles and talking on his CB and Ham Radios, but he especially loved washing and detailing cars.
Survivors include his wife, Linda J. (Deau) Schoon; his mother, Sandra (Jesus) Gomez of Wheeling, Ill.; his father, Leroy (Jean) of Iron Mountain, Mi.; two sisters, Kerry (Dave) Molenda of Waukesha and Jill (Brian) Davis of Wheeling, Ill.; a niece, Karissa (Adrian) Delgado of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; a nephew, Benjamin (Kasey) Zeller of McHenry, Ill.; two aunts, Ruh (John) Trosclair and Pat (Bud) and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Hanif; an uncle, Rex Hanif; his best friend, Frank (Rusty) Johnson and father and mother-in-law, Robert and Karen Deau of Amberg.
Blaney Funeral Home of Green Bay assisted the family with arrangements.
