Clayton Robert "Bud" Rotter, 95, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020.
Born March 23, 1925 in Menominee, to the late Philip and Olive (Guard) Rotter, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1943. In younger years, he lived in California and worked for Howard Hughes on the Spruce Goose. He later worked as Assistant Manager for Menominee County Road Commission.
He enjoyed roller dancing, singing and acting in Theatre on The Bay productions, was fluent in German, Polish and Spanish, had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke and traveling overseas. He was a past member of North Shore Golf Course.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Phillip, Mitzi, Terry, Rita, Dan, Jennifer, Mark and Paul and many other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Barbara; two sisters, Bernice Bauman and Phyllis Young; two brothers, Lawrence and George Rotter and three nephews, Jim, Steve and Robert.
Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 9 at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Birch Creek Cemetery, with Pastor Scott Ehle presiding. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
