Cameron Miles Rud, age 89, of Crivitz, passed away on November 17, 2020.
He was born to the late Conrad and Hazel Rud on May 20, 1931 in Aberdeen, SD. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis, MN in 1948. In 1951 Cameron enlisted and honorably served in the United States Air Force with a 12 month tour of duty in Korea. On June 26, 1954 Cameron married the love of his life Patricia Thomas. The couple lived in Minneapolis, MN for 14 years where Cameron attended the University of Minnesota before moving to Cedarburg, WI.
Throughout his career, Cameron worked as an IT Analyst, Project Manager in manufacturing computer systems, Realtor and upon moving to Crivitz in 1980 a Resort and Tavern Owner.
He enjoyed bowling and golfing. Cameron was an avid snowmobiler, boater, Minnesota Viking fan and had a love for working on his property. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz, Silvercliff Legion Post 66 and was active in his professional organizations. Cameron was loved by his family and many friends. Cameron was a true gentleman to all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of 66 years; three children, Diane (Jim) White, David (Paula Thompson) Rud and Debra Kabacinski. Cameron also leaves behind his four beloved grandchildren, James "JR" (Keri) White, Michelle (Eric) Bauer, Heather (Jonathan) Lilly and Heidi (Brad) Flick; 11 great-grandchildren and cherished sister, Annis (Bill) Prince; Goddaughter, Karin and many nieces and nephews. Cameron dearly loved his dog Jackson.
He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Kenzie Marie Bauer.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz on Wednesday, November 25th from 9-11AM, the service will be at 11AM with Pastor Zietlow officiating. Cameron will be laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz with Military Rites.
