
Mary L. WoodkeIssue Date: December 17, 2020 Mary L. (Jarock) Woodke, 86, of Gillett, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
Born April 8, 1934, to the late Edward and Isabelle (Swiekatowski) Jarock, she married Robert Woodke on April 24, 1954 and prior to that, worked as a beautician in Pulaski and Green Bay.
The couple farmed for 40 years in Gillett and after retirement they enjoyed going to casinos and polka dancing. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, watching birds, cooking and baking. She will be remembered for her dill pickles, delicious fruit cake and other desserts. For many years, she was a member of the Women's Bowling League and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Gillett.
Survivors include five sons, Robert Jr. (Molly), Larry (Connie), Chuck (Jodie), David (Sue) and John (Susan); a daughter, Kristin; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; six siblings, Len (Kathy) Jarock, Judy Larscheid, Joanne Thorkelson, Dick (Joann) Jarock, Paula (Louis) Raska, and Vicki Marotz and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert; a brother, Norm (Boots) Jarock and a brother-in-law, Merle Larscheid.
Public visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held with interment at Wanderer's Rest Cemetery beside her husband.
