THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Combat Vets Donate to VFW & American Legion
Issue Date: December 29, 2020
On Saturday, Dec. 12, the Crivitz area detachment of the Combat Veterans Motor Cycle Association of the Fox River Valley made financial life a little easier for Crivitz Memorial VFW Post 2063 and Netzel-Zenz American Legion Post 413.
Due to a number of factors, the detachment is temporarily disbanding and liquidating their assets. As a result, the two organizations each received a check for $2,176. Given the constraints on the fundraising this year, the generous donations will enable both organizations to continue their tradition of helping veterans during the Christmas holidays and providing scholarships to high school students later in the year.
Receiving the checks on behalf of the two organizations were Legion Post Commander, Mark Crowley and VFW Post Commander, Carl Gumz. The chapter also made similar donations to the Marinette 20 Year Club, the Crivitz Community Veterans Park Committee, and the Amberg American Legion Post.
