Two Found Dead In Riverview Home Fire

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of a house fire that took two lives in the Oconto County Town of Riverview on Saturday, Dec. 26.
According to a report issued by Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban, the Emergency Dispatch Center received a call at 8:23 a.m. Saturday from a passing motorist of a residential structure fire in the 1600 block of North Maiden Lake Road in the Town of Riverview.
The Oconto County Sheriff's Office and Riverview Fire Department responded to the scene. Upon arrival, Fire Department personnel saw that the residential structure was largely consumed by fire down to the foundation. During fire suppression efforts, first responders located two deceased individuals inside the structure.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff's Office, the Riverview Fire Department, the Brown County Medical Examiner's Office, and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation-Arson Bureau.
Names and gender of the victims have not been released.
