Vernon "Bud" Haglund, 90, of Marinette, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at the Luther Home.
Born Jan. 20, 1930 in Menominee, MI., to the late Arthur and Anna (Peterson) Haglund, he married the former Carolyn Salewsky in Menominee, Mi. on June 23, 1950.
In younger years, he enjoyed coaching his sons in sports and attending their sporting events. His face lit up when talking about the Menominee1967 State Championship Basketball team. Later in life, he enjoyed attending sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Carolyn of Marinette; three sons, David (Paula) and Craig (Sue), both of Menominee and Jeffrey (Linda) of Green Bay; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Irma Malcolm and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Merrill (Anne) Haglund.
Private services will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee.
