David William Holmes, 58, of Peshtigo, passed away Sunday, Oct, 31, 2021, spending his final days at home, surrounded by family.
Born May 22, 1963, to Barbara (Sherwood) Holmes and the late John "Jack" Holmes, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and always felt at peace when he was at his cabin. He loved being with family and enjoyed his Packer Sunday's with his daughter and granddaughters.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelley (Billy) Ellis; two granddaughters; his mother, Barbara Holmes; two sisters, Lori Kobishop and Tami (Mike) Tipler; a brother, Dan Holmes and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, John "Jack" Holmes, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Margaret Sherwood and Archie and Lena Holmes and a sister-in-law, Doreen Holmes.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 6 at United Methodist Church in Peshtigo from 11 a.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Garden in Marinette. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
