The long-awaited completion of the fish viewing platform project will be very soon, according to Peshtigo Mayor Cathi Malke. The new benches with nameplates were installed on Monday, Nov. 8 by Keith Anderson of Iconik Etchings of Peshtigo. A total of five benches are now in place at the fish viewing site. The cost of the benches was $1,500 for four of them and $2,000 for the final bench which included a concrete pad. Names of the individuals or businesses who donated the benches are on plaques.
Mayor Malke stated the plaques were all purchased by individuals at no cost to the City. John and Mark Berth will be doing the installation in the next several days to complete the project. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned for the spring.
