Porterfield Board May Re-Start Carviou Lane Discontinuance
Issue Date: April 27, 2022
Among items on the agenda for consideration and possible action at the Porterfield Town Board's monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 is a resolution to initiate the process for discontinuing a portion of a highway, in this case Carviou Lane, and hiring a Recycling Center/Solid Waste Coordinator.
Proposals to discontinue the dead-end Carviou Lane and three other dead end roads had been discussed by the board last fall and then set aside in the face of opposition to closing some of them.
The evening on May 11 is to start with calling the Board of Review to order and then immediately adjourning it to a later date.
The Town Board is expected to adopt a updates to an ordinance relating to the confidentiality of information about income and expense in regard to Property Assessment matters, as requested by the Assessor. Some assessments are partially based on income generated by the property, and this information is to be held confidential.
The board is expected to approve a Liquor License for the Kickback LLC, located at N235 Shady Lane Drive, Porterfield, with Mykle Kowalski as agent.
Other items for the board are action on Operator's Licenses that may be requested, and reports on Roadwork, Fire Commission, Cemetery, Recycling, Building Permits and Correspondence.
The next meeting will be scheduled for Wednesday, June 8 at 6 p.m.
