Patrick Bruso, who passed away May 9, 2022 at Aurora BayCare Health Center in Marinette, WI, was the son of late Grace and Joseph Bruso. He was born in Menominee, MI on April 11, 1934, and lived in Peshtigo, WI all of his life. He graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1952 and enlisted in the United States Army in January 1954, where he served for two years. After being honorably discharged, he went to work for Badger Paper Mills as a Hand Sealer, where he continued his employment for 43 years, until retiring in April 1995.
Patrick was a devoted member of St. Mary's Parish in Peshtigo. He married Nancy Johnson in February 1958, and was blessed with three wonderful children. He and Nancy were married 64 years.
Patrick gave of his time, coaching Little League for three years, and sitting on the Youth Baseball Board of Directors for six years. He was also a member of the American Legion.
His interests included having coffee with his wife, sister-in-law and brother-law, spending time up north at his daughter and son-in-law's cabin playing a competitive game of Pinochle, playing Scrabble with his wife, crossword puzzles, going for walks, watching the Brewers and Packers, yard work, playing softball and baseball in his younger years, spending time with his family, and the occasional trip to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bruso; children, Kimberly (Steve) Walters, Craig Bruso and Kris (Jay) Danis, grandchildren, Eric & Michelle Walters, Jeffrey Bruso, Casey Bruso and Wyatt Danis and brothers-in-laws, John Stepien and Jerry Bohan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Grace Bruso; a sister, Loraine Bruso); a sister-in-law, Carol Bohan and a brother-in-law, Phil Johnson.
Family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, May 14th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father John Harper officiating. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is serving the family.
His family would like to thank the Unity Hospice staff and caregivers, as well as the Aurora BayCare Health Center nursing staff for their compassion and care during his final days.
