THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Grant Awarded to Coleman-Pound Library
Issue Date: May 11, 2022
The Coleman Area Library Association recently received a $1,000 grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. The grant will be used to fund library needs, including special programming, equipment, and general operational expenses. Realizing the importance of providing accessible literacy and educational resources to the public, the library association supports a mission to promote programs and services relating to the library. In addition, the association works hard to raise the necessary funds to keep the library in existence.
The library continues to provide many learning opportunities to people of all ages, including: agricultural programs, adult book club, preschooler story time, summer reading programs, special presentations by experts in their field. In addition, the library offers a wonderful selection of books, movies, audio books, music CDs, magazines for adults, youth, and children. There are also computers with a printer and photocopier on site for patrons to use. Library cards are free to residents of Marinette County.
As costs have increased and budgets have been strained, support from the library association and other community minded businesses and organizations has become vital to the library. The Coleman-Pound Library, located at 123 W. Main Street in Coleman, was established in 1984. Library hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
