Rodger Allen Wendt, 64, of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 after a hard fought battle with lung cancer.
Born March 11, 1958 in Green Bay, he graduated from Luxemburg Casco High School in 1976 and served in the United States Navy. He married his best friend and wife, Becky (Zima, Cook) on Dec. 31, 1996. He retired from Waupaca Foundry in Marinette.
He loved his wife, his family, his home, gardening, feeding the birds, music trivia, traveling with his wife, Becky and the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; a daughter, Amanda (Matthew) Haugen; a son, Joshua (friend, Chellie); a step-daughter, Jody (Shawn) Reynolds; a step-son, Casey (Jackie) Cook; six grandchildren; his parents, Marion and Donald Schultz; three sisters, Laura (Jerry) Brown, Christine Smaney and Gerald (Terrye Shedeger) Schultz; two step-brothers, Ron (Linda) Schultz and Michael Schultz; in-laws, Sharon (Edward) Weigelt, Shelby DePouw, William Schmolinske and Bruce (Cathy) Zima; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laura and Louis LeFevre; step-sister, Cindy Schultz; two sisters-in-law, Carol Schultz and Vicki Schmolinske; a brother-in-law, Ken DePouw and mother and father-in-law, Claudine and Casimir Zima.
