Mary Helene (Lezotte) Parkansky, 89, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, surrounded by family at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1933, to the late Alex and Mary (Husbeck) Lezotte, she married Robert (Bob) Parkansky on May 14, 1955 at Epiphany Church and they celebrated 61 years of marriage until his passing on Feb. 23, 2016. She graduated from Menominee High School in 1951 and worked at the former St. Joseph-Lloyd Hospital in the office and later was the Auxiliary Gift Shop Buyer for many years. She later worked at Menominee Abstract and Title Co.
Devoted to her family, she was always willing to babysit her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at anytime. Her Christmas meat pies were an anticipated treat.
Survivors include two sons, Keith (Doreen) of Virginia and Kevin (Julie) of Wrightstown; two daughters, Kathy (Dave) Ostrenga and Kris Parkansky (Bob Johnson), both of Menominee; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Connie(Kevin) Rowold and Jo Ann Resheski and special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George and two sisters, Irene Caylor and Emily Queever.
A Funeral Mass was held at Holy Spirit Parish on Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements. Acts of sympathy and kindness can be directed to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
