Most Teams Represented In M&O All-Conference Picks

The Marinette & Oconto All-Conference selections have been made for the girls, and eight of the nine teams were represented. There are a total of three teams, the first and second team each have 5 nominees, while the honorable mention team has 6 spots. Crivitz and the Oneida Nation each grabbed 3 spots on the roster. Gillett, Niagara, Wausaukee and Coleman followed suit with 2 spots each. While STAA and Suring rounded out the selections with one each.

Menominees Anderson is All- State First Team; is U.P. MVP

The Menominee Maroon girls had an amazing year on the area hardwood and much of the success they enjoyed had to do with the top notch effort given forth by their leading scorer Emma Anderson.

The State of Michigan's Athletic Association honored Anderson last week with the placing of the Maroon standout on the Division 2 All State first team. Anderson got the prestigious spot thanks to some pretty impressive numbers on the season. She averaged 18.3 points a game while rebounding seven time a game. Her shooting percentage was 53.7 fro...

Spring Turkey Season Begins April 15th

Spring turkey season will open April 15. Hunters should practice social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19

Gov. Evers' Safer at Home order recognizes outdoor activity as an essential activity. As such, the 2020 Spring Turkey Season will proceed without changes to the season dates or management zones under the Safer at Home order.

Due to COVID-19, distance is critical. Social distancing - the practice of always staying 6 feet away from others outside of household members - is vital to help slow the spread of COVID-19....

State Nursery Seedling Orders Suspended

Issue Date: April 8, 2020

Due to COVID-19 and Gov. Evers' Safer at Home order, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is suspending seedling orders for 2020.

"The safety of our customers, our staff, and everyone's families is the top priority, particularly those who are most vulnerable to infection and severe disease," said Joe Vande Hey, DNR Reforestation Team Leader. "As such, we are no longer accepting any new seedling orders and we will be significantly limiting the fulfillment of our existing orders."

Wolverines' Jaden Werner is M&O MVP; Coleman/Crivitz Take Two 1st Team Spots

The M&O boys All Conference sell;actions have been released and leading the way in the voting were Coleman and Crivitz. The two teams had excellent seasons this past year with them both sharing a piece of the M&O title.

In the all conference selections Crivitz took two of the five spots while Coleman also took two spots. The last remain first team spot was awarded to Wausaukee Hayden Renikow.
