PLAN NEW CHARTER SCHOOL
Issue Date: October 26, 2016
A group of administrators from Niagara, Pembine, Goodman, and Florence schools are desiring to formulate a Charter School consortium with NWTC that would be based at the former Hillcrest School in Aurora, now known as Woodland Academy. They are working with legislators to get it done. Photo below depicts the actual signing of the Charter agreement by each of the District Administrators and NWTC president Dr. Jeff Rafn on Wednesdaty, Oct, 19. The Charter School will offer technical education classes that cannot be offered by individual districts due to limited resources and space to all 11th and 12th grade students who apply for Youth Options. Shown in the back row, left to right are Senator Tom Tiffany, R-Hazelhurst; Jeanette Bomberg, Florence County Board of Supervisors chair; Rep. Jeff Mursau, R-Crivitz, and Rep.
