THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Woman's Club Decorates City Holiday Plants
The Peshtigo Woman's Club has several volunteers headed by Chair Mary Ann Wills who plant and maintain the 13 Bench Planters and two others throughout Peshtigo and a flower/plant berm in Badger Park. The 15 planters are located at Triangle Park, WPS, Henry Drees Center, Pine St. Rennes, The Landmark, Peshtigo Post Office, Harper Park, Peshtigo Fire Museum, City Hall, Methodist Church, The Peshtigo Food Pantry, St. Mary's Church, the Boat Dock in and in front of Edward Jones across from Lee's Family Foods.
The summer plantings were removed and on Saturday, Oct. 29, the volunteers met in the parking lot of Lee's Family Foods to decorate the planters for the holiday season. The red decorative bows were donated by club members. The evergreen boughs are cut and donated from Lee Mylener's private property.
The volunteers starting from right to left were Karwyn Schiller, Joan Berth, Sharon Schounard, Gerry Pariso, Fran Seefeldt, Marjo Green, Judy Stehle, Stephanie Rodgers, Darla Chaney, Mary Ann Wills (Chair), Sheryl Gaugh, Cookie Grandaw, and Mary Lou Richter. Afterward all who were able gathered at the Peshtigo Corral for breakfast and coffee. The Woman's Club would like to thank Lee Mylener and Lee's Family Foods for their continued support of the Club and all community activities.
