Appointees to Department Convention in Oshkosh
Crivitz"The Crivitz VFW Memorial Post 2063 Auxiliary meeting was brought to order by Nora Swanson at 7 p.m. at the Crivitz Legion Hall. Linda Moran, 8th district president was guest.
Roll call was taken and patriotic theme was read by LaVerne Lundberg along with Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Thank you note was read from Annette Bevier and a monetary donation was received from Violet Frank and placed in the Unit account.
General orders were read and the Unit received a certificate for reaching 100% membership by Dec. 31, 2016.
Treasurers are reminded the Life Membership fees increased as of Jan. 1, 2017 and they are to use the new updated membership application form. There is still time to enter the Young America Patriotic Art Contest for high school, homeschooled and private school students 9th through 12th graders. Deadline to enter is March 31.

VFW Crivitz Memorial Auxiliary appointees for department convention on June 14-16 in Oshkosh are Nora Swanson as delegate and LaVerne Lundberg as alternate. All VFW meetings will be held at the Best Western Hotel and Convention Center in Oshkosh.
Lifetime memberships can be obtained for the VFW National Home for Children in Baton Rouge, Mich. Discussion was held and tabled until the March meeting.
Linda Moran mentioned there may be changes in the raffle calendars for next year as to the money winning dates. Also brought up was all calendars and pins received are to be paid for in advance.
In new business, Linda Moran, 8th district president presented the VFW Crivitz Memorial Unit with a new charter certificate stating new name since national is now accepting male members in the organization.
Meeting adjourned with the closing prayers read by Carol Reichardt according to the rituals.
