Alice (Jablonski) Lewandowski, 83, of Highland, Ind., formerly of South Chicago, Ill. and Wausaukee, passed away Monday Feb. 27 at Munster Community Hospital.
Born April 4, 1933 in Chicago, to the late Stanislaw and Josephine (Komorski) Jablonski, she married Gregory Lewandowski Sr. on Nov. 2, 1958 in Chicago. She worked at RR Donnelley in Chicago as a line worker and also at Insurance Companies as a file clerk.
She enjoyed puzzles, bingo, casinos, traveling to Las Vegas and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., especially watching musicals with her favorite being South Pacific, but her favorite was posting on Facebook and keeping in touch with family and friends. She loved the Internet and was a good cook, especially her beef stew. A woman with of good values and morals, she was a great role mode and her favorite saying was "laugh today and cry tomorrow".
She is survived by three children, Gregory (Joanne) Lewandowski Jr., Monica (Dwight) Randall and Susan Lewandowski; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Gregory and four brothers.
Family and friends may call at Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee on Friday, March 3 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 4 at St. Augustine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Fr. Frederick Sserugga will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
