Betty J. Sadowsky, 89, formerly of Pound, passed through Heaven's gate on Monday, March 6, 2017.
The daughter of the late Robert and Minnie (Swenty) Oleck was born June 11, 1927. She was married to John Sadowsky on March 9, 1946 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death October 26, 1993.
Betty's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was happiest when she had a baby in her arms. There are memories of her wonderful cooking, bakery and canned goods. She was the virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31. Her warm, nurturing and kind manner will be greatly missed.
Surviving are three sons, Paul (Carol) Sadowsky and Steve (Sally) Sadowsky of Green Bay and Daniel (Sandy) Sadowsky of Pound; three daughters, Peggy Ochs of Milwaukee, Susan Kovnesky of Butte, MT and Carol (Richard) Geib of Sullivan, WI; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with two more to arrive this summer; six brothers, John Oleck and Oliver (Carole) Oleck of Pound, George (Arlene) Oleck and Richard (Vivian) of Crivitz, Donald (Kathy) Oleck of Green Bay and Elmer (Judy) Oleck of Shawano and a sister, Violet of Stratford, Ia., along with many other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Jr.; a granddaughter, Emily Rose Sadowsky; a son-in-law, Patrick Ochs; sisters, Bernice Vicker, Marian Lentz, Lorraine Pelkey and Susan Zaune and brothers, August, Robert and Charles Oleck.
Friends may call Saturday, March 11 from 9-11 AM with the funeral service to follow at the Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman, WI. Interment to follow at the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound WI.
