Jane C. (Hendricks/Diedrich) Ebert, 71, of Peshtigo passed away Thursday, March 9 at her home.
Born Jan 10, 1946 in Oconto Falls, to Edwin and Rachel (Stone) Ebert, Sr., she graduated from Pulaski Community High School in 1965 and earned a degree in Information Possessing from NWTC in 1993 and in Office Assistance in 1994.
In her youth, she volunteered for Head Start, helping the teachers, aides and students, sorted and distributed products at Pauls Pantry, was a Junior Girl Scout leader and was also involved in SEARCH.
She enjoyed playing pool, reading, sewing, crafting, cooking, researching genealogy and loved her quiet country life, but mostly time with family and friends having coffee.
She is survived by three brothers, Ken and Ruth (Sylvester) Ebert, Sr., Edwin Ebert, Jr. (Patrica Vanstraten) and Richard L. Ebert; a sister, Arlene Ebert; a sister-in-law, Marg (Barribeau) Ebert; three daughters, Lana (Hendricks) and Rodney Holtger, Sabrina Grant and Mae (Diedrich) and Erick Schindler; a son, Elvis (Dawn Spude) Hendricks; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews and a good friend, Leslie Collison.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Edwin Ebert; a brother, William Ebert; a sister-in-law, Jane (Hackett-Powell) Ebert; husband, Richard W. Hendricks; ex-husband, Elroy Diedrich and nephews, Steven Ebert, Samuel Ebert, Manuel Ebert and William Ebert Jr.
A Celebration of Life with a potluck will be held on Saturday, April 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Drees Community Center, 600 Pine St., Peshtigo. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family.
